The Fresh Greens Project started with a simple idea: fresh, healthy food should be easy to access, easy to enjoy, and part of everyday life.

But too often, it’s not. Busy schedules, inconsistent quality, and limited local options make it harder than it should be to eat well. So, we set out to build something different.

Why We Started

The Fresh Greens Project was founded by Sheila Wagnon.

After a family cancer diagnosis, we began looking more closely at the role food plays in overall health. What we found was hard to ignore: toxins are present in many parts of our environment, including the food system.

That experience shaped how we think about food. It also shaped how we grow it. The Fresh Greens Project was built around a simple belief: if you can grow food better, you can help people eat better.

We didn’t just want better options. We wanted to grow clean food ourselves.

So, we started at the source.

Using aeroponic farming, a method where plants grow without soil and receive nutrients through a fine mist, we grow lettuce, greens, and herbs in a clean, controlled environment.

Harvested at peak freshness and delivered locally, our greens are designed to fit into real kitchens and real routines.

No long supply chains. No guesswork. Just fresh food, grown close to home.

Built for real life

Eating well sounds simple. In real life, it’s not. Plans change, time is short, and fresh food doesn’t always stay fresh long enough to use it.

We built The Fresh Greens Project to make that easier. We grow greens that stay fresh longer, close to home so they don’t spend days in transit, and are available when you need them, not just when you can find time.

This is food you can count on. Because when something is grown locally, you know where it came from. You know how it was grown. And you know it was grown for your community, not shipped across the country.

What Makes us different?

  • Grown locally in Northwest Arkansas
  • Pesticide-free growing methods
  • Roots-on greens for longer freshness
  • Reliable, year-round supply

We believe healthy eating doesn’t have to be complicated. It starts with access to food that’s fresh, reliable, and grown with care. The Fresh Greens Project exists to make that possible, rooted in a belief that what we eat should support how we live.
